The accident happened on Thursday evening in the 9800 block of Trask Avenue near Brookhurst Street. A pedestrian was struck by an unidentified car around 7:00 pm.
The pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital by the Garden Grove Fire Department with major injuries, and their current condition is unknown. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with local authorities in their investigation, which is ongoing.
“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said a California pedestrian accident and personal injury lawyer.
