FULLERTON: Two Killed in High Speed Accident on Rosecrans Avenue near Euclid Street

“Investigation Ongoing”

FULLERTON, CALIFORNIA (February 28, 2017) – Two people were killed in an accident on Tuesday night on Rosecrans Avenue that may be related to street racing, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 8:45 p.m. on Rosecrans Avenue near Euclid Street. A black 2006 Lexus sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed heading eastbound on Rosecrans when it lost control and crashed into a tree head on.

The two people inside the car have been identified as 24 year old Oscar Diaz, and 17 year old Valeria Tinoco. Both Oscar Diaz and Valeria Tinoco were tragically killed in the accident. Both were trapped inside the wreckage of the car for several hours. The accident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability, and initial reports may indicate street racing as a possible factor.
