“Pilots Injured in Plane and Hanger Crash”

FULLERTON, CALIFORNIA (August 26, 2016) – Two men were injured in a private plan as it was taking off, according to the Los Angeles Times. (map)

The incident occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m. when a pilot lost control of the Siai Marchetti SF-260 aircraft during the takeoff, collided with three planes, and then crashing into a hanger.

The pilot and co-pilot suffered minor injuries and received medical treatment at the scene.

The experienced pilot was on a routine flight, according to city officials.

The aircraft is capable of precision aerobatics and used regularly in military training.
