FULLERTON, CALIFORNIA (October 23, 2017) – A motorcyclist was pinned underneath a white minivan after a serious accident on Monday morning on Chapman Avenue and Highland Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 6:50 am at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Chapman Avenue. A red Honda motorcycle and a white Toyota Sienna minivan collided for an unknown reason at the intersection, leaving the motorcyclist pinned beneath the car. A passing firefighter, T.J McGovern, and a passing auto mechanic identified as Ronald Mott teamed up to use an auto jack to lift the vehicle off the motorcyclist as help was on the way.
The motorcyclist was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition after the accident. The driver of the white Sienna, identified only as a middle aged woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities after the accident.
The quick thinking actions of Ronald Mott and T.J. McGovern may have saved the motorcyclist’s life. He remains unidentified at this time, and his current condition is unknown.
“We wish the motorcyclist injured in this collision a swift and steady recovery,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law. “Motorcycle accidents almost always result in traumatic injuries, and are often caused by drivers in vehicles that do not pay adequate attention.”
