FULLERTON, CALIFORNIA (February 13, 2017) – A 7-year-old child was tragically killed after a three car accident on Kimberly Avenue and Acacia Avenue on Monday afternoon, according to a local news source. (map)
At approximately 4:00 p.m., a 2001 Hyundai Elantra was heading west on Kimberly Avenue carrying four people. As it reached the intersection with Acacia Avenue, the Hyundai was struck on the passenger side by a 2004 Nissan Altima at the intersection. The impact forced both cars into a 2013 Toyota Tundra nearby.
The child in the backseat of the Hyundai Elantra sustained fatal injuries and was tragically pronounced dead after being rushed to a nearby hospital. The child’s mother, who was in the backseat too, was critically injured and taken to a local hospital. The driver of the Hyundai and another passenger sustained minor injuries in the accident. Nobody in the Tundra or the Nissan claimed any injuries.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
