FRESNO: Two Men Died and Another Injured After Large Pickup Truck Overturned on Highway 168 Between Auberry and Shaver Lake

“Two Killed and One Injured in Rollover Crash”

FRESNO, CALIFORNIA (May 2, 2017) – 20-year-old Austin Wagenleitner, 19-year-old Aaron Beasley, and 24-year-old Jason Kirby were involved in a rollover collision Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)

A Cal Fire Truck spotted a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche on the side of the mountain at approximately 11:00 a.m. Wagenleitner and Beasley were the front seat of the Chevrolet Avalanche prior to being ejected. Both were found dead at the scene. Kirby, the passenger in the rear seat, sustained major injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle. Kirby was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

It is unknown how long the truck was stuck on the side of the mountain. Officials reported the three men left Clovis on Monday morning at approximately 9:30 a.m.
