The man, identified only as a 40 year old, reportedly was a patient at St. Agnes Hospital on Herndon Avenue before he caused a disturbance and was escorted out. Security walked the man to a nearby bus stop before leaving. The man then walked into the street and laid down in front of an oncoming Ford Explorer, which ran him over.

The man was tragically pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. The driver of the Explorer reportedly looked back, but kept driving, and authorities are on the lookout for the hit and run driver. The accident remains under investigation.
