FRESNO, CALIFORNIA (January 31, 2017) – One person was killed in a collision on West Jansen Avenue and South Chateau Fresno Avenue on Tuesday morning, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 4:39 am. A gray Chevrolet Avalanche and a red Honda Accord collided head on at the intersection of South Chateau Fresno Avenue and West Jansen Avenue.
The driver of the Honda was tragically pronounced dead in the accident, and the driver of the Avalanche was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. The accident remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability.
