“Pedestrian vs. Vehicle Fatality”
FREMONT, CALIFORNIA (June 14, 2017) – A woman pedestrian was killed in a vehicle collision on Fremont Boulevard between Mowry Avenue and Capital Avenue Wednesday morning, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m. The pedestrian was crossing Fremont Boulevard, in a marked crosswalk, when a motorist making a right turn out of the parking structure of the Fremont Hub Shopping Center, struck the pedestrian, according to police officials.
Rescue crews were called to the scene. The identity of the pedestrian has been withheld. No other details of the accident were immediately available. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision.
