According to the CHP, the victim had been inside a Toyota Camry when it collided with a grey sedan. A third vehicle was reportedly involved but not found at the scene.
Emergency crews and an ambulance arrived at the accident scene of the felony hit-and-run accident. The investigation is on-going to determine cause and liability.
“A motorist injured at the hands of a hit-and-run driver is subject to a bodily injury claim against the negligent parties’ insurance, assuming they have insurance once the driver is caught. If the negligent party does not carry auto insurance, injured parties will still have a claim if the motorist carries uninsured motorist coverage on their vehicle also known as UM,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm.
