The crash occurred at about 5:29 p.m. when a sports vehicle crashed into another vehicle and caused the power pole to fall down across the roadway.
Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene to attend to the involved motorists. One of the injured victims was brought to Watsonville Community Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Another vehicle parked on Buena Vista Drive also reported to have been struck by the hit-and-run vehicle.
The California Highway Patrol is searching for the suspect vehicle and driver. This incident remains under investigation.
Speeding and distracted driving are the cause for many major accidents that result in bodily harm. Any injured party involved in an accident will have a bodily injury claim against the negligent driver who caused the accident.
“It saddens me that a young, innocent victim has been seriously injured at the hands of a reckless hit-and-run driver. It’s only a matter of time before authorities locate the responsible individual and bring justice upon them,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law, a California personal injury law firm.
