FRAMINGHAM, MASSACHUSETTS (August 31, 2017) – A school bus heding to Brophy Elementary School was involved in an accident on Thursday morning, according to a local news source. (map)
The bus, carrying nine students at the time of the accident, was involved in a collision with a pickup truck and an SUV at the intersection of Brook Street and Water Street. The impact sent the pickup truck over onto its side with serious damage.
Miraculously, the driver of the pickup truck escaped the collision with moderate injuries. He has been identified as being in his 50s, and he was airlifted from the scene as a precaution. A woman from the SUV was taken to a hospital with minor to moderate injuries as well. The 9 students on board the bus and the driver were reportedly not injured, and the accident remains under investigation at this time.
