FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CALIFORNIA (August 23, 2017) – A jogger was hit by a car and killed on Wednesday evening near Mile Square Park, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 8:11 pm on Brookhurst Street near Heil Avenue, next to Mile Square Park. A jogger described only as a male was struck by a light colored late model SUV, which immediately fled the scene.
The jogger was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the accident. Authorities are on the lookout for the hit and run driver at this time, and anyone with information is asked to call (714) 593-4487.
