“Stolen Car Crash”
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CALIFORNIA (April 11, 2017) – A stolen vehicle was involved in a collision with a home on the 16300 block of Sierra Street, east of Newhope Street, according to the Santa Ana Police Department. (map)
The incident occurred around 12:00 a.m., when police attempted to pull over a vehicle for a violation. The four occupants fled in the car and shortly after crashed into a block wall and partially into the home on Sierra Street. Homeowner Cris Maradiaga and his wife heard the crash. Two occupants of the vehicle attempted to escape, however, Maradiaga held them at gunpoint until the police arrived.
Police concluded that the at car was stolen and the four occupants were later arrested. The Fountain Valley Fire Department responded to the scene to aid in the collision. The woman as well as the other occupants in the home sustained no injuries. The investigation is being taken care of by the Santa Ana Police Department.
