FORT WAYNE, INDIANA (March 29, 2017) – Two students were injured after a small plane crash on Wednesday night at Fort Wayne International Airport, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 10:00 pm at Fort Wayne International Airport. Two Purdue University students, one a pilot and one an instructor, were practicing take offs and landings when the Cirrus SR20 caught a strong wind and crashed.
Both students were injured, and were rushed to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. They are believed to be in stable condition at this time. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
