FORT WAYNE, INDIANA (March 2, 2017) – A man was hit by a car and killed on Thursday morning at the intersection of Heatherwind Drive and Reed Road, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened early Thursday morning at the intersection of Reed Road and Heatherwind Drive. 48-year-old Daniel Matthrew Baliles was walking to a Citilink bus stop when he was struck by a car of unidentified make and model.

Daniel Baliles was tragically pronounced dead as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. The incident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
