SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA (October 16, 2017) – A forklift operator was killed in a tragic accident on Monday morning at John Wayne Airport, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 4:30 am at the south end of Terminal B in a construction zone. A forklift operator identified only as a subcontractor that was working on the Terminals A and B Improvement project was involved in an accident near a sidewalk.

The forklift operator was tragically pronounced dead as a result of the accident. The accident remains under investigation by multiple agencies, including Cal/OSHA and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. The identity of the forklift operator killed in the accident remains undisclosed at this time.
