FIREBAUGH, CALIFORNIA (December 27, 2016) – At least one person was killed in a collision on Tuesday morning on the 5 Freeway, according to local news sources. (map)
The accident happened around 12:51 pm on the southbound side of the 5 Freeway, near Shields Avenue. Four or five vehicles were reportedly involved in a collision for unknown reasons.
At least one person was pronounced dead by responding medical personnel. The condition of others involved is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing, and several tow trucks responded to the scene as well.
