FAIRFIELD, CALIFORNIA (April 18, 2017) – Multiple cars were involved in a collision on the 80 Freeway on Tuesday morning, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 9:36 pm on the westbound side of Interstate 80 near Air Base Parkway. A green SUV, a white sedan, a red semi truck, and possibly an additional vehicle were involved in a collision for an unknown reason.
Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene to tend to any injuries sustained in the accident, but the condition of those involved in the accident is unknown. The accident remains under open investigation at this time.
