CHP Investigating DUI Collision
FAIR OAKS, CALIFORNIA (December 12, 2016) – At least one person was injured in a DUI car accident at the intersection of Hazel Avenue and Madison Avenue on Monday evening, reported the California Highway Patrol. (map)
According to the CHP incident log, the crash occurred at 7:14 p.m. and involved three vehicles.
Arriving officers believed one of the drivers involved was drunk at the time of the collision.
One of the victims suffered a knee injury. It is unknown how many other people were injured in the crash. In addition to the injuries, one of the vehicles sustained major front-end damage as a result of the crash. One of the vehicles crashed into a pole.
Sacramento firefighters and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene to attend to the injured victim and assist with traffic and the rescue.
The California Highway Patrol will issue a report after a thorough analysis of the evidence.
