“Hit and Run Reported”
ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA (March 19, 2017) – A bicyclist was killed on Sunday morning in a hit and run crash on Ball Road, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 5:20 am on Ball Road near Gilbert Street. A bicyclist identified as 52 year old Encarnacion Salazar Munoz was traveling east on Ball Road on his bicycle when he was struck by an eastbound 2002 Ford Expedition that veered to the right and struck him.
Encarnacion Salazar Munoz was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 25 year old Jason Ray Rocha, immediately fled the scene and was pursued by officers. He eventually crashed his car in Seal Beach, and was arrested. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
