EL DORADO: Tonino Trujillo Killed, Two Injured in Rollover Crash on Highway 50 near Ice House Road

EL DORADO, CALIFORNIA (December 28, 2016) – 11 year old Tonino Trujillo was killed and two others were injured in an accident on Wednesday on Highway 50, according to local news sources. (map)

The accident happened when a BMW trying to negotiate a curve skidded off Highway 50 near Ice House Road, causing the vehicle to skid down an embankment and landing upside down in the nearby American River.

An 11 year old boy identified as Tonino Trujillo was sadly pronounced dead at a nearby hospital shortly after the collision. A 13 year old girl and a 23 year old woman in the car suffered injuries as well. The incident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability.
