EL CENTRO, CALIFORNIA (March 10, 2017) – A driver was injured in a hit-and-run collision on Friday morning on Worthington Road, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)

The accident happened around 8:32 a.m. on Worthington Road near State Route 115. Two cars were involved in a collision, sending one vehicle into a ditch in a field, and the other involved vehicle immediately fled the scene. One of the vehicles was described as a gold colored crossover.

An ambulance responded to the scene, and the condition of those involved is unknown. Authorities are on the lookout for the hit and run vehicle, and reportedly already the location of the suspect’s home. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
