“Big Rig Catches on Fire”
DUBLIN, CALIFORNIA (January 26, 2017) – A semi-truck caught on fire after being involved in a collision on Thursday on the 580 Freeway near the 680 Freeway, according to local news sources. (map)
The accident happened around 6:15 pm on the westbound side of the 580 Freeway near the northbound 680 Freeway. A semi-truck was involved in a collision with another vehicle, and the big rig caught on fire after the accident.
An ambulance responded to the scene, but the condition of those involved in the accident is unknown. The accident was reportedly one of two collisions in the immediate area, and caused a shutdown of the westbound traffic lanes for a short while. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
