The water park, located on Central Parkway, had opened on Saturday, May 27th after reportedly fixing over 17 safety violations found by a Cal/OSHA inspector. Around noon, a 10 year old boy went down the Emerald Plunge slide and slipped off the slide, landing on concrete.
The boy suffered minor injuries and his parents took him to a local hospital as a precaution. The slide was shut down pending further inspection, as was another slide with a steep drop. An investigation is being conducted to ascertain how the slide passed safety inspections.
