DINUBA: Candelario Soto Killed, Three Others Injured in Accident on Avenue 400 and Road 74

DINUBA, CALIFORNIA (February 11, 2017) – At least one person was killed and three others were injured after a two car accident, around 5:34 pm, on Avenue 400 and Road 74, according to a local news source. (map)

A 200 Hyundai Tiburon, driven by a 60-year-old man identified as Candelario Soto, was heading northbound on Road 74 when it entered the path of an eastbound Hyundai Sonata, driven by 53-year-old Jim Dwayne Followill. The two cars collided, causing the Tiburon to spin out and strike a power pole.

Soto reportedly sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. His two passengers were both injured and hospitalized with major injuries. The driver of the second vehicle, Followill, also sustained injuries in the accident.

The accident remains under open investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
