DETROIT: A Woman Cyclist was injured in Semi-Truck Collision on 3rd Avenue

“Bicycle vs. Semi”

DETROIT, MICHIGAN (July 25, 2017) – A woman was involved in a collision with a semi-truck as she was riding her bike on 3rd Avenue and Temple Street in Midtown, according to police officials. (map)

The incident took place as the woman was traveling southbound on 3rd Avenue. A truck traveling next to her attempted to make a a right turn onto Temple Street and collided with the the cyclist.

The bicycle was wedged underneath the wheels of the semi. The woman is listed in critical condition. The identity of the cyclist has not yet been released. No other details of the collision were immediately available.
