DESERT CENTER, CALIFORNIA (January 31, 2017) – One person was killed and two others were injured on Sunday in an accident on Highway 177, according to a local news source. (map)

Around 4:00 am an unidentified car carrying three people and traveling on Highway 177 near Highway 62 lost control and overturned for unknown reasons.

One of those inside the car was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of their injuries. The two other parties inside the vehicle were airlifted to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, and their current condition is unknown. The accident remains under investigation.
