“Major Injury Accident”
DELANO, CALIFORNIA (March 10, 2017) – A semi-truck was involved in a collision on Friday morning on State Route 99 near Avenue 16, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The accident happened around 8:45 am on the northbound side of State Route 99 near Avenue 16. A red or maroon 2000 Honda Accord was involved in a collision with a big rig. The impact caused the Honda to careen off the road and crash into a tree.
An ambulance and paramedics responded to the scene to tend to those injured in the accident, and their current condition is unknown, although at least one party sustained major injuries as a result of the accident. The accident remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability.
