81-Year-Old Marine Veteran Injured in Pedestrian Accident

DELANO, CALIFORNIA (December 5, 2016) – Paul Donley, a veteran who served 30 years in the Marines, was seriously injured in a pedestrian crash on Monday, December 5th, 2016, reported Bakersfield Now. (map)

A preliminary investigation indicated the 81-year-old veteran had just left the American Legion and was walking on Lexington Street towards his condo in Delano when he was hit in the middle of the road.

Paul Donley suffered major injuries in the Lexington Street pedestrian accident.

Paul Donley was trannsported to the trauma center at Kern Medical which is the same hospital his wife worked at when they met 50 years ago.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
