DEL MAR, CALIFORNIA (April 4, 2017) – Several vehicles were involved in a collision on Interstate 5 on Tuesday morning, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 10:11 am on the northbound side of Interstate 5 near Lomas Santa Fe Drive. Multiple vehicles were involved in an accident when one vehicle skidded into other vehicles for an unknown reason. The involved cars were described as possibly being a Jeep Patriot, a Toyota 4Runner, a Mercedes SUV, a Toyota Highlander, and a white Ford.
At least one person sustained injuries, and an ambulance responded to the scene to tend to any injuries sustained in the accident. The incident remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability.
