David Kepler Struck by Car on Bascom Way near Wine Grower Way

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA (October 6, 2017) – David Kepler was identified as the pedestrian that was struck and injured on Bascom Avenue on Thursday, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 8:24 pm in the 3300 block of South Bascom Avenue, near the Bristol Hotel. 66 year old David Kepler was crossing the street from the east side when he was struck by a Honda Accord.

David Kepler was rushed to a nearby hospital, but he was tragically declared dead as a result of his injuries. The driver of the Honda Accord, identified as a 52 year old woman, remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. The accident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
