“Accident caused by reckless driving”
DAVENPORT, CALIFORNIA (February 2, 2017) – According to the California Highway Patrol, two men were killed and two other men were injured on Thursday in a head-on collision on Highway 1, just south of Swanton Road. (map)
CHP Officer Trista Drake reported that a Ford Econoline can, driven by a 61-year-old San Francisco man, was traveling southbound at 60 mph around 7:41 a.m. when he crossed double-yellow lines and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by a 33-year-old Watsonville man, traveling northbound at the same speed.
Officer Drake stated that both motorists were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men in the Tahoe were transported to a hospital with major injuries.
