DAVENPORT, IOWA (January 25, 2017) – Ronald Trich Jr has been identified as the worker killed in a cave in at the Lynwood Mining and Mineral Company on Wednesday, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 10:00 pm on Wednesday, at the Lynwood Mining and Mineral Company off of Front Street just outside of Buffalo. A cave in trapped at least one worker inside the mine, and emergency crews responded immediately.

Tragically, 52 year old Ronald Trich Jr was confirmed to have been killed as a result of the accident. The incident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability in this accident.
