DANVILLE, CALIFORNIA (May 3, 2017) – Two cars were involved in a collision on the 680 Freeway on Wednesday, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 3:40 pm on the northbound side of the 680 Freeway near Sycamore Valley Road. A black BMW was rear ended at almost 50 mph by a blue Toyota Corolla, according to the report.

At least one person sustained injuries, and an ambulance and paramedics responded to the scene. The condition of those involved is unknown at this time, but the accident remains under open investigation to determine cause and liability.
