HEMET, CALIFORNIA (March 7, 2017) – Danny Silva has been identified as the man killed in a hit and run on Tuesday morning on Florida Avenue and Mayflower Street, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 6:20 p.m. on Florida Avenue (also known as State Route 74) near Mayflower Street. 64 year old Danny Silva was crossing the street when he was struck by a white SUV, which immediately fled the scene.

Danny Silva was tragically pronounced dead as a result of his injuries, about 20 minutes after the crash. Hemet Police are conducting a thorough search for the hit and run driver at this time, and the accident remains under investigation.
