ELK GROVE, CALIFORNIA (February 25, 2017) – A motorcyclist was killed and two others were injured in an accident on Saturday morning on Highway 99, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 11:25 a.m. on Highway 99 near Eschinger Road. 37-year-old Daniel Gregson was reportedly traveling southbound on Highway 99, when he rear ended a pickup truck that had slowed down due to traffic. The accident caused a chain reaction crash involving two other vehicles and two other motorcycles.
Daniel Gregson was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by responding medical personnel. The other two motorcyclists were taken to a nearby hospital with major injuries resulting from the accident. The incident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
