INDIO, CALIFORNIA (March 13, 2017) – Craig Williams has been identified as the pedestrian killed after being hit by a car on Grapefruit Boulevard near Avenue 48 on March 13th, according to a local news source. (map)

67 year old Craig Williams, a resident of Indio, was walking across Grapefruit Boulevard near Avenue 48 around 11:00 pm when he was struck by a car.

Craig Williams was tragically declared dead at the scene by responding emergency medical personnel. The driver that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Initial reports indicate that Williams was not inside of a crosswalk at the time of the accident. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
