2 Minors Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash near Deleo Sports Park
CORONA, CALIFORNIA (December 13, 2016) – On Tuesday night, December 13th, three minors were involved in a solo-vehicle rollover accident near Indian Truck Trail and Towhee Lane in the unincorporated area of Corona. (map)
According to Cal Fire / Riverside County Fire incident log, the vehicle overturned in the area of Indian Truck Trail and Towhee Lane near the Deleo Regional Sports Park at around 8:53 p.m.
One of the victims, a minor, had to be extricated from the vehicle and was flown to an area hospital by Mercy Air with major injuries. It took Firefighters about 45 minutes to extricate the trapped minor due to the location and terrain.
The second victim was taken by ground ambulance to an area hospital also with serious injuries. A witness reported seeing a third minor who was reportedly uninjured.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
