“Fatal Train Accident”
COPPERAS COVE, TEXAS (March 22, 2017) – A teenage boy reportedly was struck by a train and killed on Wednesday afternoon near Copperas Cove High School, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 4:20 pm on the tracks behind the athletic fields at Copperas Cove High School, near Avenue D. A 16 year old boy was reportedly struck by a BNSF Railway train.
The teenager, identified as Alexander Stout, was tragically pronounced dead after the accident. The incident remains under review, and the train was reportedly equipped with a camera. Authorities will be reviewing the footage to determine cause and liability.
