COPPERAS COVE, TEXAS (March 22, 2017) – Alexander Stout has been identified as the 16 year old who was struck by a freight train and killed on Wednesday afternoon, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened on Wednesday around 4:20 pm. 16 year old Alexander Stout was reportedly walking on the train tracks just behind Copperas Cove High School’s athletic fields when he was struck by a westbound freight train near the 700 block of Avenue D.

Alexander Stout was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
