Fatal Rollover Crash Highway 4 at East Port Chicago Highway Exit
CONCORD, CA– One person was killed following a rollover collision that occurred on westbound Highway 4, east of the Port Chicago Highway off-ramp. The crash happened at about 8 p.m. yesterday, December 28th, 2016.
The cause of the crash has not been made readily available as the accident is still under investigation. Police responded to the scene to find a Subaru overturned on the center divider with another vehicle blocking the #1 lane of the freeway. It is still unclear if this other vehicle was involved in the crash.
One victim was reported to be trapped in the overturned car. Emergency teams responded to the scene in order to assist the injured victims. One person was declared dead at the scene of the crash. The identity of the victim has not yet been released by investigators.
