CONCAN, TEXAS (March 29, 2017) – 87 year old Harold Boyd Barber was identified as one of the thirteen victims killed in a tragic accident on Wednesday on Highway 83, according to a local news source. (map)
Harold Barber was among a group of senior citizens heading home from a three day retreat in San Antonio on Wednesday. About 75 miles west of San Antonio, they were traveling on Highway 83 near Garner State Park when a pickup truck crossed into opposing traffic and slammed into the bus head on.
13 of the 14 senior citizens on board the bus were killed as a result of the accident. 87 year old Harold Boyd Barber was tragically one of those pronounced dead at the scene. The bus was from the First Baptist Church out of New Braunfels, Texas, and the group of seniors on board the bus was reportedly a choir group. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
