Around 12:30, just outside of Garner State Park, a pickup truck driven by a 20 year old man swerved into opposing lanes and crashed into the bus head on.
Thirteen people died as a result of the bus accident, and 83 year old Avis Scholl Banks was verified to have been one of those tragically killed. The accident remains under open investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
