The accident happened around 11:00 a.m. on 23rd Street (also known as Lincoln Highway), near 3rd Avenue. A silver Hyundai Elantra reportedly rear ended a tanker truck at the intersection, in the inner westbound lane. The impact caused the airbags in the Elantra to deploy.

The man inside the Hyundai was treated at the scene, then hospitalized. His current condition is unknown. The driver of the semi-truck reported no injuries, and the investigation is ongoing at this time to determine cause and liability.

“Police will gather evidence and conduct interviews with the drivers and witnesses to determine liability” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm. “Any injured party involved in an accident will have a bodily injury claim against the negligent driver who caused the accident.”
