The small plane, whose model remains unidentified, was carrying two people when it struck electrical wires in Collinston before crashing in a nearby field. The impact of the plane on the electrical wires disrupted power to the nearby Morehouse Parish Correctional Facility, near John Crymes Road.
The two people on board the plane were reportedly killed in the accident. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
