COLINA DEL SOL: 5 Year Old Boy Struck by Car on Trojan Avenue

“Ongoing Investigation”

COLINA DEL SOL, CALIFORNIA (January 14, 2017) – A 5 year old boy was struck by a car on Saturday afternoon on Torjan Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 1:00 pm in the 5300 block of Trojan Avenue. A vehicle of unidentified make and model driven by a 60 year old woman struck a 5 year old boy for an unknown reason.

The little boy suffered a leg injury and was hospitalized. The 60 year old driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation at this time. The authorities are continuing to determine cause and liability.

“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said a California pedestrian accident and personal injury lawyer.
