COBB COUNTY, CALIFORNIA (March 7, 2017) – A man was killed and his passenger was injured in a collision on Highway 29 on Tuesday afternoon, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 1:00 pm on the northbound side of Highway 29, near Lakeport. A 64 year old man was driving a 2011 Subaru northbound when a southbound 2013 Ford pickup truck veered into his lane and struck him head on.
The 64 year old driver of the Subaru was tragically pronounced dead as a result of his injuries, and has been identified as Darryll Patrick Prather. His passenger, 63 year old Lela Prather, was rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The driver of the pickup truck was identified as 30 year old Daniel Long, who also had 3 year old Madison Long as a passenger. Neither Daniel nor Madison sustained injuries. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
