CLOVIS, CALIFORNIA (January 24, 2017) – A Fresno police car and a vehicle carrying two children and one adult were involved in a collision on Tuesday at Willow Avenue and Nees Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 4:00 pm on Tuesday at the intersection of Willow Avenue and Nees Avenue. A police officer traveling northbound on Willow Avenue broadsided a car carrying three people inside.
Two children inside the vehicle and the driver were all hospitalized with injuries of unreported severity. The officer in the police car was also injured and was taken to a hospital himself. The accident is under investigation at this time, but initial reports indicate the officer was using sirens and lights at the time of the accident.
