CULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA (January 10, 2017) – A pedestrian was injured in a car accident on Tuesday on Orange Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 1:30 am on Orange Avenue near Connoley Avenue. A pedestrian was struck by an unidentified vehicle that immediately fled the scene.
The pedestrian was rushed to UC San Diego Medical Center with serious injuries, and their current condition is unknown. The pedestrian has only been identified as a male at this time, and the investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability. Witnesses are asked to contact the Chula Vista Police Department.
“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said a California pedestrian accident and personal injury lawyer.
